fwap

fwap is comprised of three musicians, Andy West, Joaquin Lievano, and Hilary Jones. fwap was formed by Andy and Joaquin to create a new vehicle for music they had in mind that was in some ways the opposite of the highly orchestrated and complex song forms they have used in Zazen. At the same time it is similar in aim, seeking a sense of adventure, imagination, and beauty in the songs. fwap is creating music on the fly with minimal orchestration, yet it employs familiar song structures, counterpoint, and repetitive patterns that build on each other, all the while retaining a sense of musical cohesion.

Performing in Los Angeles, Aug. 11th and 12th!

fwap will be performing in LA Aug. 12 at "Bleep-Fest" in association with the DVD release of "What the Bleep Do We Know - Down the Rabbit Hole
